KH:BBS Overview
Personality: Though he was raised and trained to be a master keyblade weilder, Ven is essentially a big kid. He's cheerful and upbeat, and always looking to make new friends and makes them easily. He often puts the well-being of others before his own. Though he's nice to anybody he's just met, he's become reluctant to talk about his childhood now that all of his memories are in tact. He's incredibly energetic and inquisitive, and while he's very curious and likes to learn new things, studying usually bores him; he's by no means a true academic (despite reading quite often, though it's rarely non-fiction), and gets easily confused by eloquent phrasing and poetry, as well as being impatient when someone's being unclear or going in circles. He prefers a hands-on approach, and desires to see the entire universe that's out there, though for the last four or so years of his life he was forbidden to do so by Master Eraqus. Because of this however, Ven no longer takes very kindly to attempts to restrict his freedom, even if it's forbidding him to do something to keep him out of harms way. More often than not, he'll directly contradict it if he desires.

Though he himself is highly protective of his friends and those he considers family, but has mixed feelings when people are protective of him. Despite acting the cheery part of kid, Ven hates being treated like one, and will usually go out of his way to prove he isn't just some helpless child. However, he's easily distracted by new prospects or immediate events due to his curiosity and his lack of knowledge about most things in life. Somewhat paradoxically though, he's also single-minded; he has a large amount of determination, and whenever he has set his mind on something, he'll ensure he reaches his goal and often thinks about nothing besides it until he attains it. This leads to him being a bit stubborn and thick-headed, and neglecting things along the way. He can overlook the simpler solutions to many problems, and ends up picking a more roundabout way to the solution by accident.

Childish tendencies aside, Ven can and will be serious and formal when he needs to be, and can be smart about certain things when he tries. He's brave enough to face danger without fear, but because of his heart being restored of its darkness, he can be a bit overconfident at times and overstretch his limits without realizing it. It takes a lot to make Ven angry, but when he does, he becomes absolutely livid. It can give him even more determination and concentration, but it can lead him to overlooking highly important details about his current situation. Although he can be upset easily, it also takes a lot to truly make him depressed or sad; more often than not, he will regain his confidence and resolve quickly, as he thinks more on the optimistic side and will work to make the situation better if it's dark.

Noticeably, because of all the damage done to his heart and memory, Ven's become a bit forgetful at times, forgetting minor details and conversations, though it's never usually anything important. If he thinks about it long enough, he'll remember eventually (and he often twirls whatever's nearby in his hands while he's thinking). After the battle with Master Xehanort at the Keyblade Graveyard, he's also developed a severe case of cryophobia; a morbid fear of freezing. Usually whenever he's scared of something, he'll take drastic measures against it or to avoid it, but do his best not to show it outwardly too much; his fear of frost is no exception, but the anxiety it causes him is a bit much for him to hide.

Abilities: As a Keyblade Weilder, Ven can summon a keyblade at will, seemingly from thin air. Though he has various keychains with which to change the nature and strengths of his keyblade, he predominantly uses either Wayward Wind (mostly for his glider) or Lost Memory in battle. He holds his keyblade in a reverse grip, and his manual preference is right. While he doesn't have the best physical strength, he makes up for it with skill, speed and dexterity when using it. He's the fastest among his friends and fellow apprentices, and is adapt at doing various jumps, flips, rolls, spins, handstands, and other acrobatics (along with being able to slide along the ground behind an enemy if the enemy's about to attack) with ease, and his feet seem to only touch the ground in between strings of attacks when he's fighting. He's a bit fragile defense-wise, but he can still take quite a bit of punishment before giving in.

Ven can also do various magic attacks (such as your basic Fire, Blizzard and Cure spells), and, while not the best mage, is proficient in wind and light based magic. He can glide through the air for a certain amount of time, create outward gusts of wind (Aeroga magic is his favorite) and tornadoes, summon pillars of light (and sometimes six swords of light with which to attack), and things of that nature. Utilizing the keyblade, he can also open locked doors, chests, and basically about anything that has a lock or keyhole.

By using his Wayward Wind keyblade, Ven can summon a Keyblade Glider in the form of a waveboard, and (in combination with the suit of armor he can don with the use of the pauldron on his shoulder) can fly on it any distance he pleases, which he initially used to navigate the Lanes Between, aka space. He can use his glider to attack if need be by spinning it.
